Rooted Olive is a personal wellness brand aiming to promote slow living, nervous system regulation, and reconnecting to the body through thoughtful content and visual storytelling.

A savable resource post to show my audience how I go on mindful walks.

A simple Instagram graphic to remind the viewer to take care of themselves.

An introductory post for my followers to get to know me on a deeper level as I share my history with mental health struggles and the reason I started this page.

The opportunity.

Many wellness spaces feel loud, performative, or productivity-driven. Rooted Olive needed a presence that felt like a pause — something that met people where they were, especially during seasons of burnout, grief, or healing.

The direction.

Visually, this translated into muted, earthy tones, organic layouts, and a balance between minimal structure and imperfect, human elements. The voice of the brand favors reassurance over instruction and reflection over advice.

The audience is primarily wellness-focused individuals and those who either struggle with their mental health, or knows someone who struggles.

Visual Identity & Graphic Design.

I developed a flexible visual system that could live naturally across social content, written reflections, and resource-based posts. Typography and spacing were treated with an editorial sensibility, allowing content to breathe while maintaining consistency. Graphics were designed to support the message — never overpower it.

Social Media & Content Strategy.

For social, I created content pillars focused on reflection, informational and resource-based posts, and human centered posts. Posts were designed to feel save-worthy and slow-consuming, encouraging users to pause rather than scroll past. Caption writing played a key role, pairing thoughtful visuals with language that feels conversational and emotionally aware.

An ongoing Instagram story series where I share gentle reminders or realizations I have come to, allowing me to connect to my audience on a more human level.

Outcome.

Rooted Olive evolved into a cohesive brand and content ecosystem that feels emotionally safe, visually grounded, and intentional. The project reflects my approach to creative marketing — where strategy, design, and storytelling work together to create connection, not just content.
